Proposed curtain wall inter-story fire test specification in Taiwan

According to the research report on the fire resistance performance of the joint between curtain wall spandrel and floor structure (https://www.abri.gov.tw/News_Content_Table.aspx?n=807&s=39553) done by the Architecture and Building Research Institute of Ministry of the Interior in 2018,  it recommends Taiwan government to use CNS 16071 (based on ASTM E2307-15b) flame resistance test to determine if the curtain wall  spandrel design fulfilled Building Technical Regulation Design Section number 79-3 requirement of having same number of fire rating as the adjacent floor.  It is planned be incorporated into the criteria for applying approval in New Technology, Construction, Equipment and Material in Buildings standard pending on approval.  This information is the provided for your reference.
